Neil Gunnion is Senior Vice President, Low Carbon Solutions for McDermott. In this role, he leads the company’s execution of low-carbon projects including LNG, HVDC and energy transition-related infrastructure. He also leads strategic projects that support growth across these markets while advancing McDermott's position in the evolving energy landscape.

Neil has extensive international experience in project execution, operations and commercial leadership in the Middle East, Europe and the Americas. Throughout his career, he has focused on operational excellence, disciplined project delivery, customer engagement and the development of high-performing teams. 

At McDermott, Neil was most recently Country Head and Vice President of Operations, Qatar. From 2021 to 2026, he led McDermott's Qatar operations through a period of significant growth, helping establish Qatar as one of McDermott's most important strategic markets while supporting the award and execution of some of the industry's largest LNG developments. He also championed the use of digital technologies to improve project execution certainty and supported initiatives focused on sustainability, talent development and local capacity building.

Prior to McDermott, Neil held senior leadership positions with Genesis Oil and Gas Consultants and Technip.

Neil holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde and has completed the Executive Development Program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
