Summary

BP Chemicals contracted McDermott to build a maleic anhydride (MAH) reactor vessel with an internal diameter of 36 feet and height of 105 feet, and an adsorber vessel with an internal diameter of 16 feet and height of 88 feet. The MAH reactor vessel is a skirt-supported vessel with a hemispherical top head and cone bottom. The material is SA516 70 Normalized. The cyclones were type 304L stainless steel, while all shell and head seams were 100% radiographed.
