The Chilean LNG Project created a new grass-roots LNG receiving terminal located at Quintero Bay, approximately 160 km northwest of Santiago, Chile. The project scope included complete ship unloading facilities, LNG storage, regasification, and sendout facilities. The project also included provision for an early gas option to allow fast-tracking the marine facilities and LNG unloading, to enable gas to be unloaded and regasified to sendout before completion of the full containment LNG storage tanks.
