
Rachel Clingman joined McDermott in April 2021 and is Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, Corporate Secretary. Rachel leads corporate strategy and performance in areas of governance, legal, ethics & compliance, communications, contract management and sustainability.
Rachel brings deep experience in the industry with public and private companies. Her prior positions include Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Noble Energy, Inc., from 2017 until Noble merged with Chevron in 2020; Vice President and General Counsel for the global Petroleum and Americas Minerals businesses of BHP from 2014 to 2017; and leadership of international law firms prior to 2017. Her public and non-profit board service includes the board of NBLX and the Houston Area Women's Center, and she is the immediate past chair of the board of the American Heart Association - Houston.
Rachel earned her degrees from Rice University and the University of Texas School of Law.
