Highlights
As part of the FEED, McDermott provided a basic engineering package used as the basis for a binding open book cost estimate for the EPC.
McDermott worked through all phases of pre-FEED, FEED, EPC, and commissioning and start-up support for its 1,000 kta ethane cracker. Approximately half of the ethylene produced in this world-class facility supplies Lotteās 700 kta mono-ethylene glycol (MEG) production plant, which produces fiber-grade MEG for export. McDermott has continued work at the facility through 2024 by designing and installing a seventh SRT III ethylene heater and a duplicate auxiliary boiler.
