Summary
Ayatsil is a heavy oil field located in the waters of the Bay of Campeche and the largest discovery by PEMEX offshore Mexico. McDermott successfully carried out the flawless engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, load-out and sea fastening of an 8-legged jacket, with skirt piles and a two-level deck. The Ayatsil-B facility, weighing approximately 13,495 tons, is the first, largest and deepest platform installed in the PEMEX Ayatsil field to date. The platform is one of four to be used, along with an FPSO, to develop heavy oil.
