Marine Construction Vessels

McDermott has a fleet of derrick barges, construction and pipelay, and support vessels capable of transporting and installing complex oil and gas structures such as jackets, topsides and subsea structures. The fleet is capable of installing pipelines in S-lay, reel-lay and flex-lay from shallow to deep water. Over the last few years, McDermott has significantly invested in its fleet, adding modern and highly efficient dynamically positioned pipelay and construction vessels. The flagship DLV 2000 was launched in 2016 and, in 2017, McDermott acquired the Amazon, which it plans to upgrade to address the ultra-deepwater market with a state-of-the-art J-lay system outfitted with the latest technology.
