Egypt Seen as Strong Opportunity for McDermott

For McDermott, the time is right to once again enter the Egyptian market—onshore and offshore. Pipeline Oil & Gas Magazine explored why through a feature article in its February issue.

In the article, Linh Austin, Senior Vice President of Middle East and North Africa, explains how McDermott’s vertically integrated solutions will align well with opportunities in the Egyptian market.
 
“After the merger with CB&I we refreshed our strategy and Egypt made more sense after the merger than ever before. We have now decided to up our presence in the country. If you look at the new offering from McDermott we can provide services across the board. Everything is in play for us in Egypt.”
 
Linh also elaborates on how McDermott’s history of executing projects in Egypt has, through the years, better equipped the organization to deliver timely, cost-efficient solutions for the country’s energy industry and energy infrastructure.

The 2019 Egypt Petroleum Show (EGYPS), where McDermott will have a much larger presence than in the past, will provide further opportunities to tailor and optimize Egypt-specific strategies.
