Onshore Modules

Pre-assembled modules designed, built and delivered for onshore gas plants.
An alternative to “on-site, stick-built” gas plants, pre-assembled modules serve remote locations where there is minimal fabrication infrastructure and a lack of skilled local labor, saving challenging onsite construction.

Based on decades of modular design and construction for the offshore oil and gas industry, McDermott offers comprehensive engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, transportation and commissioning for onshore gas processing:
  • LNG plants (Liquefied Natural Gas)
  • NGL plants (Natural Gas Liquefaction)
  • GTL plants (Gas To Liquids)

We combine our project execution expertise and procurement resources with our engineering know-how, construction assets and global fleet to design, build and deliver quality modularized structures for onshore gas processing facilities.

Engineering

From our global engineering offices, our capability to provide Front End Engineering Design and detailed design of any type or size of module draws on our decades of experience and inter-disciplinary engineering skills. Through our Engineer, Procure, Construct delivery model and interface management skills, we ensure cost-efficient, fit-for-purpose construction meeting world-class quality standards and demanding schedules.

Construction

Our worldwide construction facilities have the acreage and capacity to produce large process modules. Following rigorous fabrication procedures and quality controls we provide high-end pre-assembled components and modules for delivery onshore, shortening construction time at the plant site. Our fleet of transportation barges and support vessels ensures safe delivery of modules to locations worldwide.

From our Batam Island fabrication yard we have delivered 99 modules for an aromatics plant in Singapore, 75 modules for one of the world’s largest modularized LNG plants in Australia producing 4.8 million tons per year, and more than 60 pre-assembled racks and pre-assembled units weighing an estimated 27,558 tons for a new LNG plant in Western Australia.
