Continuous improvement of equipment and infrastructure, material flow and management at our existing facilities provides the blueprint for our new yards to serve our expanding markets and geographies. From construction through to pre-commissioning of large integrated topsides, jackets, non-shipshape hulls, subsea components and onshore modules, we offer:
- decades of fabrication innovation and experience
- ability to meet fast-track fabrication schedules
- exemplary safety performance
- robust management systems
- standardized fabrication processes, procedures and rigorous controls
- modern equipment, prefabrication facilities, heavy-lift cranes
- advanced welding technology and quality assurance
- superior material handling
- topsides to hull quayside integration facilities
- comprehensive craft training
ISO 9001-2000, ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001 accreditation guides a consistent approach to quality, safety and environmental standards at our worldwide fabrication facilities. Across our operations, our exemplary safety performance is world class and accomplished through a relentless pursuit of execution excellence, comprehensive training and a culture dedicated to safety.
Material Flow & Equipment
From enclosed, conditioned space warehousing and open storage, materials flow through our yards. Steel sheet is rolled into tubulars or shaped as profiled plate through our pipe mills and plate-cutting facilities. Pre-fabrication and preparation shops are fitted with overhead cranes and mobile material handling equipment. Working with regular steel and specialized metals, our enclosed pipe and plate fabrication shops prepare materials for blasting, coating, painting and NDT testing for quality assurance. Covered assembly areas allow year-round fabrication, and lay down areas prepare material for assembly at outdoor erection areas. Industrially engineered for material flow and production, our yards are equipped with heavy-lift cranes and multi-wheel trailers for efficient material handling.
With high-quality welding and the latest technology and equipment we achieve high-productivity and quality work for timely completion of even the most complex offshore structures.
Load out & Integration
Across our yards, skidways connect to quaysides, enabling load out of jackets, Spar hulls, topsides and onshore modules, with deepwater quayside access for large transport vessels and launch barges. The capability for deepwater quayside hull-to-topside integration for FPSOs and float-over integration for TLPs or Semi-Submersibles exists at several of our fabrication facilities that cater to floating production hulls and topsides, including Altamira in Mexico, Batam Island in Indonesia and McDermott Wuchuan in China. Fabricating topsides in a single piece for quayside or hull integration significantly reduces schedule and installation risks offshore.
Infrastructure Layout
We build subsea components including production manifolds, sleds, PLETs/PLEMs and rigid jumpers for deep and ultra deepwater environments. Our yards’ expansive acreage allows for construction and layout, hydrotesting, coating and insulation of subsea infrastructure, welding quad joints for SCRs and tendons.
