Company Officers

Mr. Stephen Johnson has served as our President and Chief Executive Officer and a Member of the Board of Directors since July 2010, and as Chairman of our Board of Directors since May 2011. Previously, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of our subsidiary, J. Ray McDermott, S.A., and as our President and Chief Operating Officer of McDermott International, Inc. Active in the engineering and construction industry, both in the US and overseas, for more than 38 years, his career progressed from project assignments, sales and marketing, and business unit management to corporate executive management. Prior to joining McDermott, he was Senior Executive Vice President and Member, Office of the Chairman at Washington Group International, prior to its sale to URS Corporation. In this role, he was an integral member of the team responsible for that company’s overall strategic direction, operations and financial results.

John ("Jack") McCormack has served as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer since June 2011. Previously, he served an executive capacity in operations and project services. Prior to joining McDermott in January 2003, Jack served as Senior Vice President, Operations of Burns and Roe Group for six years; Vice President of Projects, Executive Vice president and General Manager of the CRS Sirrine Architecture Group; and then as President of NaTec Resources, Inc., the CRS Sirrine environmental affiliate. Before that, he spent 14 years at Ebasco Services where he served in various Project Management positions.

Perry Elders has been Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since April 2010. He has 27 years of senior financial executive experience with a focus in international energy services. Prior to McDermott, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Bristow Group, Vice President of Finance for Vetco International (now GE Oil and Gas) and Director with Sirius Solutions, a financial consulting firm. Perry began his career and spent 20 years in the public accounting practices of Arthur Andersen and PricewaterhouseCoopers as an audit partner specializing in multi-national energy service companies and a particular focus on mergers, acquisitions and public financings.

Liane Hinrichs has been Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary since October 2008, when she was promoted from Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Her 12 years with McDermott include legal, compliance and transactions experience in a variety of capacities. Prior to joining McDermott in 1999, she was a partner in a New Orleans law firm.

With more than 20 years at McDermott, Stewart Mitchell’s operations experience has progressed with increasing responsibility in the areas of field engineering, offshore operations, construction management and project management. His career has also made him a global leader, delivering results in Dubai, India, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Netherlands and United States. He became Vice President and General Manager, Middle East in 2007, after serving as General Manager of Qatar projects covering bidding and execution, and assumed his current position in 2011.

As Vice President and General Manager, Atlantic, Steve Roll is responsible for setting the region's strategic direction, as well as business acquisition and execution. He has more than 30 years of global operations and leadership, strategic planning, project delivery and customer relationships experience at McDermott including assignments in the Middle East (Dubai, Egypt, India), North Sea and Asia Pacific regions. Starting as a Design Engineer, he advanced to Project Manager, Director and then General Manager, assuming responsibility for global business development and then global commercial development before assuming his current role.

Before becoming Senior Vice President, Special Projects, Daniel (Dan) Houser was Senior Vice President and General Manager with a focus on the Atlantic region and global marine operations. Dan has a successful leadership track record, since joining our subsidiary J. Ray McDermott in 1977. He brings more than 33 years of diverse experience in the global offshore engineering and construction industry with special emphasis on project delivery, fabrication and marine operations, and business development in the US, and abroad. Dan has a strong understanding of our clients and cultures in countries where we operate, and has served in Asia Pacific, Middle East, Gulf of Mexico, the Caspian and Europe. Prior to overseeing the Atlantic region and Global Marine, Dan was Vice President and General Manager Europe and Central Asia based in Baku, Azerbaijan and London, England.

Bill Soester has been Senior Vice President, Project Execution since February 2011. His responsibilities include Global Project Services, Global Engineering, Project Management Excellence and the McDermott/Keppel FELS joint venture company, FloaTEC, LLC. He joined the company in 2003 as Vice President Engineering. Bill has 37 years of experience in engineering and project management involving large and varied onshore and offshore projects across all phases, from concept to completion, with Saudi Aramco, Saint-Gobain and Fluor.

Jeff Hightower has more than 35 years of financial and business experience with McDermott, starting in accounting with our Houston engineering and construction group. In functionally and globally diverse positions including assignments in Canada, Belgium and West Africa, he has developed deep knowledge of all aspects of our business and financial operations which is integral to our bid review process and profitability. In 2008 he assumed the role of Vice President with current responsibilities for Information Technology and the financial functions in Operations.

Suzanne (Sue) Kean joined McDermott in January 2011 and serves as the company’s Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. She has more than 30 years of legal and compliance experience with both private and multinational corporations in the energy service, EPC, manufacturing and marine industries. From 2004 through 2010, Sue served as Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Exterran Holdings, Inc. and its predecessor by merger, Hanover Compressor Corporation. From 1998 through 2004 Sue was Senior Vice President and General Counsel of First Wave Marine, Inc., a private equity owned shipyard organization specializing in repair and construction of offshore vessels and drilling rigs. Prior to that, Sue was a partner in a Houston, Texas, law firm.

Claire P. Meaney has been Vice President, Assistant General Counsel - Litigation, Claims and Disputes since June 2002, with a successful track record of monitoring litigation, analyzing risks, representing company interests and achieving effective litigation strategies and resolutions. She has 24 years of litigation experience as internal and external counsel. Prior to McDermott, Meaney was counsel and partner with King, LeBlanc and Bland law firm.

Jay Roueche has served as McDermott’s Vice President, Treasurer and Investor Relations since July 2010, and has led the Company’s financial communications since 2003. Mr. Roueche has a successful track record in multiple high-level strategic areas including corporate finance, investor relations, treasury, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate communications. Prior to joining McDermott, Jay held positions of increasing responsibility with Shell Oil Company, Rockport Resources Capital Corporation, Pennzoil Company and Pennzoil-Quaker State Company.

Dominic Savarino has been an executive in McDermott global tax and regional controller capacities since February 2006. His 18 years of experience include federal, state and international tax, including experience with IRS audits, transfer pricing, advance pricing agreements, mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, tax planning and compliance. Dominic’s expertise also covers corporate and public accounting environments such as Pricewaterhouse Coopers and Hewlett Packard/Compaq.

Since joining McDermott more than 20 years ago, Bruce Schoolfield has served in progressive legal positions and successfully built the company’s global legal organization. Starting as International Counsel, he advanced to Corporate Counsel, then Manager of legal affairs for Houston Engineering, manager for the Western Hemisphere legal affairs, Assistant General Counsel before assuming his current role.

Tim Woodard has more than 20 years of experience with McDermott. Initially serving three Senior Counsel roles for the Western Hemisphere, North America and Morgan City, Louisiana, he advanced through various legal, risk and global operations capacities at the regional and corporate levels.
